Open Position: Associate Engineer

POSITION TYPE: Full-time, Regular


REPORTS TO: Production and Development


TARGET START DATE: 7/1/19

Job Description


Lumen is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Associate Engineer for the Production and Development group.

 

The Associate Engineer conducts pilot and production plant operations in conformance with Lumen’s cGMP requirements, documents and reports quality parameters and tests and implements process improvements.

 

Desired and Required Qualifications


Experience and education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, or bioengineering or related field is required.

  • Understanding of bioprocessing unit operations and quality control systems required


The successful candidate will have the following attributes:​

 

  • Well-organized and detail-oriented with strong technical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to multitask

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with others in a dynamic team environment

  • Adaptability, flexibility, independence and resourcefulness to thrive in a fast-paced, small-company environment

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • High integrity and ethics

  • Commitment to quality and timely delivery of results

 

Physical Requirements

 

  • Operate in a production facility setting for extended periods of time (2 or more hours)

  • Occasionally lift or carry up to 20 kg
